I have a Dream

When we talk about dream, what readily comes to mind are the things we experience during sleep? Fantasies and illusions. Dream is this discussion is more than an illusion or fantasy. It is a vision of the future, a strong desire, an ambition, a projection and a goal to be fulfilled.
Dream has nothing to do with wishful thinking rather it is a purpose, which stretches and propels into actions. We exercise our full human potentials when we embrace, pursue and focus on such dreams with determination to succeed. A man or a woman without dream or vision is considered dead and only waiting for the grave. Even in the Bible; Proverbs 29 verse 18 states “where there is no vision the people perish”.
We have come to realize that the great achievements seen around the world today are not mere accidental occurrence. They are dividends of great dreams and purposeful living.
Dreams as good as they are cannot be realized without being focused on the goals that one desire to realize
The creation of the world was a product of God's dream. The redemption of mankind from the pangs of death and hell was a product of Christ purpose and dream. Do you remember Joseph, the beloved of Jacob in the Bible? He nurtured the dream of greatness and consequently became the Prime Minister of Egypt in his days. History records that Abraham Lincoln got to the White House as American President after several failure because he had a dream and he remained focused.
However, dreams are not without distractions. Joseph' ten brothers conspired against him because of his dreams “Look, here comes the dreamer! Come therefore let us now kill him and cast him into some pit and we shall say, 'some wild beast has devoured him', we shall see what will become of his dreams” Genesis 37 verse 19 and 20. He was tempted and tried in many ways, from Potiphar's house to the prison and finally to the palace. He was motivated by his dreams. Abraham Lincoln got to the White House because his dreams did not die through pressure and disappointments.
Dream indeed determines your place, moulds your destiny and makes your future. In fact, if you do not dream, you do not have a future. If your dream is small then you are small. If you dream mediocrity, then you are a mediocre. If you dream big, then you are big. If you dream supernatural then you are supernatural.
